Summary: Bought this Garmin Edge 810 as a factory refurbished item, and the only way I can tell it wasn't a "brand new" item was that reconditioned items are sold with a special serial number. Big deal. I saved several dollars by doing this.
... over 45 years and this is by far the best bike computer ever designed and made
13 September 2015
Summary: I've been racing and riding bikes for well over 45 years and this is by far the best bike computer ever designed and made. It's a bit pricey, but well worth but it has so many design features that none of the wireless or wired computers have.
Summary: The main driver for buying this was my failing eyesight! I have used a Edge 500 since it was introduced and still use it on my MTB but it was getting harder and harder to read the screen This unit is head and shoulders above that for visability/readability.
Almost perfect, except for crank cadence magnet - Easy Fix

Summary: Other reviewers have clearly defined the positives of this GPS. Personally, I love it. The ability to have multiple screens and customize the readout is fantastic for whatever your riding goal is for the day; distance, climbing, time, heart rate.
Summary: I began riding about a month ago. I'm 43 and haven't been on a bike in 10 years. I ride for exercise and having the Garmin Edge 810 makes riding so much more fun. I'm still learning all the features and just got the heart rate monitor but haven't used it yet.
Great computer. SO happy with this and the maps ...

Summary: Great computer. SO happy with this and the maps for turn by turn directions. I also love the garmin connect upload so I can move a file over to strava. I don't use a lot of the capabilities. I do enjoy the calorie and low cadence alerts. It easily paired with my stages power meter.
I really like the 810--I have mounts om my road bike

Summary: I went straight from a wired Cateye cyclometer to the 810....so no experience with Garmins previous models for cycling. I really like the 810--I have mounts om my road bike, touring bike and mountain bike--easy to put on and easy to switch.
