Summary: Bought this GPS for my husband, who is an avid road and mountain biker. He uses it almost daily, and is really pleased at how great it is for keeping track of his workout and routes. Was easy to mount on his bike and charges quickly.
Good investment, reliable, does all I need it for.

Summary: Great cycling GPS. Does all I need it for and is pretty tough. Already had few crashes and the unit still performs as designed. Also comes a lot cheaper than the newer generation Garmin. Overall it was a good investment.
Summary: I bought this for my husband. So far he says: *For the price you are getting an amazing set of tools that work great. Yeah it's older technology so the screen resolution is not as high as items currently on the market but really do you need that on a bike? *All the components work great and pulling that into their training software is useful. Programing workouts is something he's never been ale to do before and loves that. *His was a refurb and he said he'd never known.
Summary: I'm a mountain bike fan and enjoy riding using a GPS. I've had some other GPSs in the past but none of them have surpassed my expectations as the Garmin Edge 705 did. Easy to use, quick in calculating routes, very accurate. Bottomline, it's awesome.
Summary: Love the Garmin 705. Picked up a refurbished one and it works excellent. Heart rate monitor and cadence sensor are more reliable than my previous cycle computer. The data uploads to Garmin Connect includes everything I need to know about my training rides. IMO i cant see what the newer models offer that makes it worth the additional cost.
Summary: The 705 with options has exceeded my expectations. It's changed the way I train. Coupled with Strava and rideswithgps sites and it's a very powerful tool. Suggest a 3rd party cover/protection or dummy cord system especially if you mtb in low light conditions (I find myself worried that it pops off the mount when I'm banging on rocks/obstacles).
Summary: I have had a Garmin Edge in the past. Several years ago when road cycling alot I had a 305 model. Liked it alot and would do way more features than I needed. So now that I got back into road cycling to compliment mtn. biking I looked to Garmin again for a bike computer. The 705 is the old model I know, but I found a new one for a decent price and opted to give it a try. Features very similar to my old 305 but with maps!
Summary: Excellent cycling GPS...Only thing missing is the Temperature. Has all the other features you could want. It's water resistant. If you have the que sheet for a future ride, you can map it out on Garmin Connect and send it to this GPS as a course and get turn by turn directions. With the HRM and Cadence sensor you can track your health and fitness to see how well you're progressing. Customizable display lets you see just what you want and you can skip the rest.
Summary: This thing is soooo bomb! I bought the 705(w/ HR and Cadence) to upgrade from my 305 (same extras) mostly because of the color display and ability to load a full blown Garmin Topo Map into it! Now, I have a bike GPS for my Road bike, Mtn. bike, and Indoor bike, as well as a hand held for hiking and off roading in the Sierras! I love this thing!
