Summary: Let me just say that i love this computer, but i wish there were more to it. Touchscreen: At times i love it at times i hate it. It can be unresponsive at times and just annoying leaving me to want hard buttons to press. Color screen: Love it, even though it doesnt add much to the computer. Battery Life: All in all it is just "OK". I think if it were a little longer i would be a little happier. Altimiter: There has to be something up with the altimiter on these units.
Summary: If there was a separate category for Customer service alone I would rate a 5 all day long. My second Cycling Garmin device to my replaced and still working Edge 500, I have been a Garmin fan since 1995 where I used a garmin to navigate the sail boat even teach people how to use them while working at West Marine. One thing has always been the case with Garmin as they seem to always impress with cutting edge technology.
Summary: There has been a lot written about this so I only want to comment on the features that seem to be disputed the most. Obviously number one issue is the screen. The screen can be difficult to read if it is not at a reasonable angle. This is not a deal killer. As long as the angle is set properly this is not a problem at all. Unfortunately this means that mounting on the stem is not a good option.
Summary: I bought the Edge 510 in March, 2013, and have used it continuously for a year. It does exactly what I want, and more. It records all activities and uploads them through my iphone so I can view them on the phone or on any computer. It seems accurate. The screen is easy to see, even in bright sunlight. The software is well-thought out and works (reasonably) well.
Summary: An excellent upgrade to the Edge 705! The wireless uploading to Garmin Connect on my smartphone makes data storage, and ride evaluation simple. Live tracking is slick if you want someone to know your location during your ride. To date, all features have worked well for me. The only reason I have not rated this unit 5 stars is I would prefer a toggle stick on the unit like the Edge 705 to change between the available screens while riding.
Summary: The product is awesome, works well and helps a lot in training, directing you to your goal. What I found unfavorable, which I believe is crucial to update the next versions is the touch screen should be better and more sensitive and weather forecast not accurately locates the region where I am making this great useless function. Overall the product is very good!
Summary: I've been using the Edge 510 with my Power2Max power meter for about 2 months now and every thing is working out great. I'll be very interested to see how things go when I'm able to get out on the road.
Summary: The Garmin Edge 510 has been far better than I expected and I would like to have been able to give it 4.5 stars. Overall it's easy to use and I really like the accuracy of the GPS and speedometer. One of the features I really like about this and some of the other Garmin devices is that they let the user customize the display. The Edge 510 let's the users select which data field will be on the display and where each data field will appear on the display. Very cool.
Summary: Outstanding piece of equipment and was very easy to install and sync. Easy to set up due to the touch screen and the blue tooth is a plus to upload your completed activity. The only draw back to this unit is that it is a little tough to see screen on sunny day (deduct one star).
Summary: Manual provided insufficient would recommend downloading the online manual. Took a little time setting up with my turbo trainer but really great to be able to analyse my indoor training efforts.
