Summary: I'm 50/50 with this one. I think cuz I expected more out of it. Some times it freeze on me or black out ("but rare") I just deal with it. Could be more. Other then that, shipping was good. No damages. Over all it works and I still use it. "I wish it could be updated on new roads."
Summary: Lives up to truck routing, however can be quirky with basic mapping. Will say location is on the right but is on left. May not know whether its on left or right in some cases. Updates aren't often enough; a completed construction area still identified as under construction several weeks later.
Summary: I was surprised to see a major GPS brand company like Garmin leave out a feature as elementary as the ability to pan while in navigation mode. For example, you are driving to your destination however, you would like to look ahead to see if there might be any sharp turn or other alternatives.
Summary: We bought this GPS after we accidentally ended up on the Saw Mill Parkway with a travel trailer - no warning until we were already on the road that it was passenger vehicles only. So we dished out for the dezl specifically for the truck/RV profiling and routing, and it is useful for that purpose.
Summary: I haven't used my Garmin DEZL all that much since I received it, but it seems to be working as expected. Although my unit was reconditioned by Garmin, I have to admit that it appeared to look like brand new! Very nice!
Summary: I purchase any trucker GPS to keep from running into low bridges, turning onto banned routes, and to get from A to B as effiecently as possible. Does this one do the job? Not enough to trust it. My biggest gripe is that it does not route A to B as well as it should.
Summary: The functions of this GPS is All and all pretty good. The things I don't like about it is That my truck is governed at 62 mph this GPS will Calculate arrival time at posted speed limit which in my case I can't reach so Hence creates a faulty arrival time For me.
Summary: Even though the unit I received did not have any map data, the seller company resoled the issue very fast; they sent me a replacement unit by 2nd day air. The unit itself is the best not because it is a real good one but because there is nothing better at all.
Summary: I have been using this Garmin for close to six months now (Its May 2012 now). I have used it from Alaska to various states in the Lower 48 and two Canadian provinces and one territory. I found it to be very accurate in the 48 states but lacking in Edmonton Alberta as to present updates.
