Summary: Often the routes it chooses are simply baffling. It will route you away from Interstates in favor of 2 lane roads that don't save any time. I believe the culprit is an extremely overzealous definition of "truck route".
Summary: I'm a strong believer in the garmin name and products they sell. but the garmin 560 really misses the mark. it miss directs all the time we'll 50 percent . Won't let you avoid toll roads. Its a pain to start uo. Ask for vehicles your using. sometimes it tells you about a scale coming up.
Summary: it loves to tell you that there is a weight station coming up and it is on the other side of the interstate poor job by garmin. my pilot is better at mapping than this junk. don't buy it. shame on Garmin for putting there name on it.

Summary: I had a TOM TOM before and it seems like Tom Tom was much more user friendly. I have it over a year now and I must say that it is very rugged. i keep it in my car all year long. Cold Chicago winters and hot summer no problems. Had to replace a power cord once.
Summary: This unit seems to route you way out of the way many times when closer truck routes are available! I think this needs to be remapped at least in Illinois because from 5 to 15 miles out of the way on some routes?
Summary: The routing on this Garmin is not good at all having to go behind it with my map .Can't clear trip information without hooking up to a computer and deleting everything. I will get me a Rand McNally and sell this one
Summary: I'm really disappointed with this unit. The graphics are not good, but this is minor. The unit is crazy slow to calculate. It takes wild courses that are way out of route. The times presented are not realistic.
Summary: It works. Gets you there. A compass icon would be nice. I drive a motor coach into Chicago and don't appreciate the adds poping up when I'm trying to navigate the mean streets of Chicago. I've since read similar complaints. I hope enough people complain to Garmin about this.
