Is this unit drunk??

George O., Amazon
3 November 2013
  • Summary: This unit seems to route you way out of the way many times when closer truck routes are available! I think this needs to be remapped at least in Illinois because from 5 to 15 miles out of the way on some routes?

I expected much better.

1bullet1, Ebay
7 August 2012
  • Summary: I was very excited about getting my new Garmin. I have had a nuvi 660 for a while and it was a good unit and expected great things to come. As I have used the dezl 560 in the last few weeks I have punched favorite points in. I first noticed a problem when leaving Zeeland, MI to go to Mt Vernon, IN. The GPS tried to route me out thru the country on two lane roads. I thought it was just a glitch but it kept trying to get me to turn around and follow it's chosen route.

Dezl 560MLT

Joe, ABT Electronics
12 September 2011
  • Summary: This product is a total disappointment, traffic receiver goes on and off randomly, map drawing seems very very slow, traffic map is as good as none. Always give you weird routes and false estimated arrival time. If this unit was 200 to 300 dollar I would probably not complain this much. But for the price you pay for this unit was just not acceptable, there is no setting for commercial vehicle vans so you must use truck setting at all time for commercial vehicle van .
  • Pros: Easy Menus, Easy To Read, Easy To Set Up, Large Screen
  • Cons: No commercial van setting, Poor traffic receiver map, Slow, Weird route

  • Summary: I'm really disappointed with this unit. The graphics are not good, but this is minor. The unit is crazy slow to calculate. It takes wild courses that are way out of route. The times presented are not realistic.

Poor Routing

Bart "BY", Amazon
25 June 2011
  • Summary: This unit will take you on some very strange routes to a destination. Even in car mode it seems to avoid roads that are not allowed for trucks. For my RV it is worthless.

"Popup Adds on my Garmin."

walmarkthe1st, CNET
1 May 2011
  • Pros: It works for the most part. Takes me to where i want to go.
  • Cons: If I'm sitting at home and want to find an address in another state it only gives me the option of finding an address in Michigan. It should have the option of changing the state. I haven't been able to do that. Other Garmin owners I've handed it to say I

Pop up Adds?

Old & Cheap., Amazon
21 April 2011
  • Summary: It works. Gets you there. A compass icon would be nice. I drive a motor coach into Chicago and don't appreciate the adds poping up when I'm trying to navigate the mean streets of Chicago. I've since read similar complaints. I hope enough people complain to Garmin about this. Had I known i would have bought something else.
