  I have a new Dakota 20 Used very little Cannot power it up?

  have tried 3 new sets of AA batts nothing Screen comes up faint shows garmin copyright and then leaves?

  Brand new dakota 20 & have only used it for about 2 hours trying to learn it. Now it will not stay powered on for more than 5 seconds, screen just fades away before it is even powered up. New batteries, have tried to connect to computer for any updates but it will never detect it even though it is connected to the pc.??????

  is the dakota 20 suitable for use in a car? it is supposed to give turn by turn diretions but are these only text on screen? is there a plugin or something to have speech added?
