I'm very pleased with features and performance.

Summary: Great GPS with excellent software. Everything you could possibly want for features. The Colorado 400i comes with a preloaded map of inland lakes and rivers. Major lakes and major rivers have depth info and navigational aids such as locations of lighthouses, boat ramps and channel buoys. This would include the Great Lakes, the Mississippi River, Sebago Lake in Maine and Winnepesauki in NH.
Summary: Nice unit, but the rock & roller wheels takes getting use to. Color display screen is easier to read than my last GPS. The only real negative is that the unit appeared to be used. When I took it out of the box and started it up it had already been initialized and there were waypoints entered into it. I don't consider this to be a new unit as advertised. Will not buy anything from the distributor it was shipped form again.
Summary: I bought one of these over a year ago and I paid about $350 for it at the time. Overall, this is a good device. The screen is nice and clear. The backlight works well. The device feels pretty sturdy. The controls are pretty intuitive. I haven't used a GPS with a touch screen yet, but I can imagine that it might be a little quicker to input data with a touch screen over the rock-n-roll wheel. The lake maps that come with the 400i are OK.
Summary: I bought this to replace a much older Magellan SportTrac. I also wanted something that was compatible with my Garmin vehicle units so I could share maps. I use this while boating, cycling, hiking, and I also can use it for driving except the Nuvi's do a much better job there. Quick wake up, very fast acquisition of satellites -- it got my location within a minute of turning on after opening the box! It also appears to be sensitive inside of vehicles.
Summary: Good size and resolution (especially for a small screen). Some of the features could be more intuitive. A bit cumbersome with some of the control buttons and menu's, but good overall. The batteries don't last as long as advertised and the unit doesn't work well in cold temps. The unit stopped working and the batteries show "low" when I used it snowmobiling...I had to put it inside my clothing to warm it up before it would start working.
