Summary: I like the overall function of the GPS distance yardage. Ease of use is good but sometimes the touch function does not respond. Need to try a number of times to finally accept the command. Display is quite good & pretty accurate. However, at times it gets confused which hole we're playing on. At Nicklaus Monterey course, it showed 18th hole yardage while we were still on 16th. Could not get 17th hole yardage, next hole, still showing 18th.
Summary: My Garmin Approach S3 is my first experience with GPS golf toys. I like it very much and have become almost dependent on it, especially when playing unfamiliar courses. Very readable screen. Accurate information. Every course I have played has been loaded into its memory. My only complaint is its battery life. I can use it for up to 27 holes, but after that the battery is zero. My batter life after 18 holes is about 30%.
Summary: I really like this product. Very accurate and comfortable. My only complaint is that sometimes it loses track of where on the course I am and will show a wrong hole. Overall I think it's well worth it.
Easy transition from bulky Skycaddie SG5 to Garmin S3.

Summary: Very simple and easy to use interface. At times i see my self double checking distances with markers on the course as SG5 is off by a couple of yards at times. SG5 used to be right on the mark. Transition has been painless as i don't need to worry about having a course on the unit or when my subscription will be due.
Summary: Purchase S3 about a month ago. So far, I really like the device. I've had three other devices that I lost on the golf course. I bought this device because I can wear it like a watch. Virtually impossible to loose. I really like the multiple features of the device. Its very accurate as a golf GPS and also serves as a watch with an alarm. I do a lot of walking so the odometer is very nice to have. The only draw back is the short battery life.
