Excerpt: i find that charging the gps is very hard, you need to make sure the pins are very tight on the watch for it to charge...i also find if i am wearing a jacket in the cool weather it does not pick the signal..
Excerpt: Don't waste your time or money with this watch. The battery life is not good at all and the yardages seem to be off slightly. Might as well just spend a little more for an actual range finder instead of this. I used it two rounds and now Golfsmith won't accept a return for this terrible product.
Excerpt: I bought this GPS as an addition to my range finder and for a quick glance to determine distance. It is perfect except for the charging system. Not only does it need to be charged every single time I play but its slips off its idiotic button charger and then it isn't ready when I need it. I wouldn't recommend this until garmin comes up with a more reliable charging system.
Summary: I got the watch last Christmas. I have played courses in several states and has always worked well except trying to charge it. It is aggravating as hell and I finally got rid of it. About 50 0/0 of the time when I turned it off to charge it would come back on. I had to repeat the process in some cases several times to get it to start charging. Even when it did not do that hooking up to the charging contacts was a delicate operation. I do NOT recommend it.
Excerpt: a gps unit that gives incorrect yardages, what else needs to be said. i compared the course monuments, skycaddie and bushnell rangefinder. all three read about the same(within 2-3 yds) the approach was off by up to 10 yds on some holes.
