Excerpt: I received this one day and played my first round with it the next. I was a little concerned about the reviews of it being hard to charge. If you can't get this thing to charge, you probably don't have the know how to use it, therefore don't get it. You can't "dumb it down" anymore than Garmin has. The charging device is quite unique looking but the design is quite simple and easy to use.
Excerpt: I've used the S1 for 4 or 5 rounds now and absolutely love it. Very easy to use (for a non-tech individual) and it is a huge confidence builder knowing exact back/center/front distances to green when selecting clubs, especially from within 100yd range. I've played (walked) 27 holes from 9am - 5pm and battery wasn't an issue. I've always been sure to fully recharge before each day so no issues there.
Excerpt: Got as a Christmas gift and have used it a few times. I found it easy to operate and the distances seem accurate. Now I won't constantly ask my husband for distance to the green. Wish they made a slightly smaller model for women's wrists.
Excerpt: I was blinded in my left eye after an accident a few years ago. Since then, I always had great difficulty judging distances. I purchased my S1 Approach watch at the begiining of last season. It was like a miracle. Instead of guessing or trying to locate yardage markers, I glance at my S1 & it gives me my PRECISE yardage to the front, middle or back. Even fom 100 yds. in, it nails it. I know exactly whether to use a gap or lob wedge. I have total confidence in this watch.
