Summary: I bought this product because my Callaway microPro no longer supported course updates and my home course had just gone through a major redesign. After considerable research, I determined that the G6 seemed to be the best buy. In general, I haven't been disappointed. It's fairly easy to use and is somewhat straightforward and the yardages seem to be "right-on"!
Excellent device, excellent value, perfect for the job.

Summary: Although this was a "refurbished" device and therefore a little cheaper than a new device there was no way of telling that this was so. I play golf 3 or 4 times a week and the device is regularly used. It is perfect for the job and very easy to use. One of my wisest purchases. Excellent.
Summary: Great Golf GPS. I had a Callaway uPro that I dropped and broke. Callaway has gotten out of the golf GPS business so I had to find something else. I thought about the wrist watch type of GPS but I don't like wearing a watch when I golf. The Garmin G6 does everything I need and the battery life is outstanding. I have played two rounds (over two days) on one charge and it still had over 50% of the battery life left. The uPro could only do one round.

Summary: Background: I am 67; recently retired; getting back to golf after 30 years; little experience with tech products – no iPhone or iPad; no available knowledgeable help; seeking the “silver bullet” to lower my golf score (22 index). Research: Of the various distance devices used by the ladies with lower indexes who I golf with, the 76-year-old lady with a Garmin Approach G6 was most satisfied: her children set it up for her.
Summary: I previously had a U-pro Callaway GPS. I had nothing but problems! When I switched to the Garmin, I couldn't believe how the rest of the golfers lived! WOW! This GPS is reliable, finds the course immediately, and is accurate compared to rangefinders. The cursor moves easily to the actual hole position. The measure your shot feature is neat, but a little depressing at times (if you know what I mean) for a 60's plus player. I can get 2 rounds of golf with it.
Summary: Both the G6 and the folks at In The Hole were great. The screen is too small to use the touch screen feature accurately. However, the unit gives enough information that I don't have to use that feature anyway.
Summary: I have played about 10 rounds with this GPS and I am ALMOST 100% completely satisfied with it. I only have one small complaint and that is the battery is only good for about 27-32 holes. I havnt been able to make it through 2 full rounds with out it shutting off. But, with the included wall/USB charger I can plug it into my truck USB slot and get a quick charge between rounds if possible. Otherwise this baby is awesome.
