Summary: First of all let me say that I had a great experience buying the product and then subsequently returning it. The product itself however, leaves a lot to be desired. It is very basic and does not come close to my $30 iPhone app for ease of use and clarity of the screen. I used it twice, then returned it (thank goodness for that "60 day" policy). Pros: small, rugged and comfortable to carry/wear, accuracy was also very good. Cons: not great clarity on the screen, esp.
Summary: Good golf GPS; plenty of courses and no extra annual fee. Small enough to keep in your pocket. Good touch screen that responds to gloved hands. Visually satisfying in all varying light conditions. Intuitive functions and menus for the most part. Waterproof. Limitations/Cons: 1) I may have a defective belt clip (though no apparent manufacturing defect seen), but the GPS have fallen out about once every 3-5 rounds of golf. The soft "click" is no longer reassuring.
Summary: Was wanting to replace my Sky Caddie, did a lot of research and decided to try something new. I'm still adjusting to the differences between the two but find the Approach much harder to read and get the information that seemed readily available from my Sky Caddie. Will continue to work with the Approach but not sure that I will stay with it.
Summary: I've been asked to rate this product after using it for only one round of golf, so I'm not sure that it is an accurate assessment at this time. I used a SkyCaddie for 5 years, and I got used to very accurate course distance measurements. When I damaged the SkyCaddie, I was told by SkyGolf that they did not repair units.
Manual is rubbish but a little experimentation shows it is actually quite easy to use

Summary: Took ages to find a satellite signal when first turned on but eventually did. Manual is rubbish but a little experimentation shows it is actually quite easy to use. Very useful data on the device and good shot tracking and distance info. Main problem is the connection to Garmin Connect - to actually view your stats - is a nightmare. Does not work with Safari or Chrome Browsers. Interface is as user-friendly as iTunes, i.e. not at all.
Summary: Not perfect. Have had to move it to the next hole when it stuck on the 15th hole. Doesn't always move ahead to the current yardage; need to pinpoint on the green to get the shot distance and then not confident that the distance will be as accurate as one would like. SO, not totally trustworthy and spending some time checking the yardage with the course markers.
Summary: I purchased this item and returned it(although have not received credit yet). I purchased it as a gift and the 2 courses (which are executive courses in Canada) which we play all the time are not mapped. I asked when they would be and could not be given an affirmative date. My old gpd (logic) I had a response within a week that course was loaded or why it couldn't be.
