Summary: This garmin is great on the course. It gives me distances to the waters/hazards and to the front/middle/and back of the green! It is a great product. It arrived in great condition and on time.
Summary: The Garmin Approach 5 golf GPS is a great devices and has all the tricks available a true golfer would want. It comes up very quickly when turned on and locates the course you desire. I have almost when three rounds on one charge except for the last 3 holes. Screen is very easy to see and all the features are easy to access and utilize. I made the right choice and would highly recommend this device to any golfer.
Summary: I Had a bushnell paid twice as much for it. I like this much better. I like that I can carry extra batteries in case it runs out. I like the fact that when I change the batteries I do not lose information on that round. I also use it to keep score.
Summary: I love the size of the screen, the use of touchscreen and the infinite distance points. I had a SG-4 skycaddie which was nice but does not compare to this unit. This one comes loaded with all US courses and not yearly fees or fees to update the data base. The color and touchscreen is very user friendly. The score keeping for up to a foursome is also easy to use.
Summary: I decided to get the G5 version as opposed to the G3, because for approximately $50 more I'm getting bigger screen size (3" vs 2.6") and the ability to track stats such as putts per round, greens & fairways hit, as well as average distance for each club. As I get older my distance is continuing to change so the last mentioned stat is particularly helpful. Other than these $50 worth of extra features, both models are practically identical.
