Summary: The item was shipped fast and received in good condition except a 5 mm nut was missing on the swivel which was no big deal. The seller has yet to respond to my inquiry about software upgrades because it does not cover 40% of my area and streets.Software upgrades for this series were eventually located on the cobra web site. I would not recommend the seller because I have not received a reply from my inquiry and its been 3 days.
Summary: This is a replacement GPS for me & the only GPS I've used. I've used this model since 2005 as a over the road truck driver. I love this GPS! It always got me there, & when I missed my turn it helped me get back lol! This is the only one I feel comfortable with. I like the features it offers as well as ease of use. This product took me to all 48 states with accurate ETA times. The screen is big & easy to see & the volume is fairly loud.
Summary: Pros: Garmin: beanbag mount, it sure is rock solid on dash Cons: Cobra: suction window mount, it has fallen twice Author's Review I have them both, ran a 200 mile test with them both running side by side in my vehicle. -Easiest to put an address in: Cobra no question - Best in vehicle mounting: Garmin no question - least intrusive when a detour required: Cobra - widest area coverage: tie, both have the entire us - Fastest on cold startup: Cobra starts faster - Maps most...
Summary: Everything went very well the unit came on time and the only thing that wasn't right in box wasn't sealed from the factory like the ad said. I just got the unit so I didn't have time to really used it yet.
Summary: I purchased this unit as an upgrade to the Garmin StreetPilot c340 and I couldn't be happier! There were two reasons why I decided to upgrade to Cobra. First, when taking a trip into New York City, the Garmin went completely haywire telling me to make a left turn over and over, therefore making it useless in cities. Second, on that same trip I was meeting my sister who drove in using her old Cobra GPS and she had no problem reaching our destination.
Summary: what I like is the large display screen. what I dislike is that you cannot take into the house and play with it since it is not DC compatible. Guess I need to shop for a converter. there are times I would like to put my destination addresses in late at night for my next days travel and to currently do this I have to sit in my car with it plugged in. Why I purchased it was a Christmas gift to me.
Great unit, except for unacceptable product support

Summary: Huge screen, detailed directions, ease of use. These things are all there; HOWEVER, Cobra has not published a software update since August of 2006. Consequently, all of the directions are getting less and less accurate as time passes. I live in a city with lots of new highways, and you can't get around here at all with this GPS because it doesn't recognize any of the new roads.
