Summary: The Onix 400 was discontinued, and the ability to update was stopped in 2008. Owners are now unable to update maps at all. If you are looking to purchase an Onix 400, the best you will find is a unit with maps only 6 years old sold by someone who updated it right before Bushnell stopped its online...
Summary: slow to load maps, not as good as a phone now-a-days for normal navigation in the city. Works well in the woods, but the proprietor battery makes it cumbersome to take out to the wilderness. Regular batteries work best. Take some of those and you are good to do.
