Summary: Very easy to use. Lightweight; use lanyard to put around your neck. Preferred it over complicated GPS unit when finding a survey marker 1300ft thru the woods by using its compass mode & # of yards (steps) we needed to walk from stake I "marked" with it at the road. Is excellent for finding your way back to car, campsite, etc when in the woods.
Summary: i had the older one. so when it died (it was passed down from my grandfather) i knew what i wanted to buy from the begging. great product, sat alight pick up is quick and it has got me out of sticky situations
Summary: Damn thing is perfect. First two times out on the return legs I was convinced its pointer was way wrong. It was bang on correct. I just don't believe you should place your faith 100% in a gadget when you're out beyond the black stump, but, boy, is it seductive--and humbling to be proven wrong.
Summary: This thing is pretty cool. I've used mine for back packing and mountain biking. Great to get you out the same way you came in. Track speed, elevation change, tempature, distance. I read all of the reveiws and it seems that some people though this was like a Garmin. It isn't, it isn't supposed to be used as a garmin. It will not give you directions. It will get you back to base camp, your hunting spot, or back to your car.
