Summary: The case is of decent quality. The strap is velcro. The strap is a bit small for someone with big arms. I will probably just buy a strap of some sort to use in place of this one. Overall, the product was a fair purchase.
Summary: When I first received this item, I LOVED IT! My biggest concern was tracking kills in the evening and getting turned around in the woods. The first time I used this, I marked my deer stand, climbed down and tracked my kill through the woods after dusk had settled in. After finding the deer I was able to mark the deer and find my way back to my stand and make my way out of the woods. All in the pitch black dark! Fantastic, no more getting turned around again in the woods!
Summary: Does what we need it to do to meet the requirements of our State logs. They are not however "very rugged". We have had to replace 4-6 out of the 10 we bought originally due to the LCD screen going "black" or getting bumped or dropped by accident and the screen cracking rendering them useless.
Summary: This GPS does exactly what I wanted - tracks altitude, distance and temperature, and after the fact maps out where you went. However, it requires a standard USB input, so I bought a Surface RT since iPad and Kindle don't offer USB. Unfortunately it ALSO requires Adobe Air which is not supported on Surface RT. So I have not been able to find an easy travel solution to be able to do what I want with this. Disappointing.
Summary: Had the original and it worked great so when my original got crushed I thought I'd upgrade, big mistake, tried two different hunt tracks and neither was accurate, it's now in the kids toy box, what a waste of money.
Summary: I tested it where I live which is in an area with limited cell phone service. It takes a considerable time for the device to establish the location marked. In the woods a half mile from the marked location it did ultimately point in the correct direction. My intent was to use it in national parks, I am not confident that it will serve.
