Summary: I ordered this unit in the hopes of backtracking back to my home camp while offroading. First, the GPS takes forever to lock onto a satellite signal anytime you are somewhere new. Second the GPS was very inaccurate. It kept pointing to a different location. Just not what I was expecting.
Summary: I just wanted a small and simple device that would track where I hike and I thought it would be nice if it could tell me the temp and alt while hiking. This one does do that, but has major flaws! First of all it's not very precise. When hike back over the same trail the two lines can be very far off. Sometimes on the map you can see where the trail is and the line does not follow it. This is the only GPS tracker I have owned, so I don't know how common that is.
Summary: We used this BackTrack throughout Northern Europe this Sping. Never felt lost and felt much more confident in taking off on our own to explore. Always guided us back from where ever we were. Loved its simplicity!
Not worth it- you probably can use you phone for what this thing does.

Summary: This device does not do basic things that you would expect it to do. It says it has the ability to mark 5 points but you can only use these 5 point to go find your car or other things- you can't load the points on your computer to find your exact spots- the only way to do that is to get a pencil and paper and write down the points while you are on the road. In addition, it allows you to mark just 1 trip.
Summary: I bought this to go hunting in unfamiliar woods. I tested in in several areas, and it is an amazing tool for finding your way through your hunting area or back to your truck after trekking through the woods.
Summary: I purchased this device for 2 purposes: (1) as a navigational aid when accompanying family and friends on hunting or other outdoor outings and (2) tracking and sharing my regular hiking and bicycling expeditions. As a navigational aid the system is slow but reliable. In the clear it can take 2 to 3 min to get a GPS lock, under a canopy it can take 2 to 3 times that long.
