Summary: Purchased with the intent of using it to help me with the speed of my boat while trolling. Over the winter, I added a trolling plate to my outboard motor and it reduced me speed from 3 mph without the plate to 0.6 mph with it. GPS receiver lets me know my speed and I love it.
Summary: I was hoping that I could punch in a location while on a tour in a foreign city and it could get me back to that spot. I tried it out around home in areas I know. Direction pointer gets mixed up at times (I would guess 10 to 20% of the initial start it gets "confused"). As you get closer it gets better or maybe the longer you have it turned on ? If you are walking, this could be a lot of steps in the wrong direction, but it did eventually get close, +- 20 to 30 feet.
Summary: I backpack and camp all the time and I carry a compass everywhere but some of my family dont like the old ways and sometimes on a cloudy night its easier to use a GPS. This unit is good for simple setup getting back to the campsite or car park with no real hassle and it can save your life when your out hiking or hunting alone having a one touch system in case of emergency can be a lifeline
Summary: I mostly use it to track my dog walking.. (tracks location, distance, speed, elevation, animal activity and route.. also shows altitude, barometric pressure, and moon/sun phases but doesn't record them..) It's very easy to use, and works well. I will eventually take it into the woods for a few days camping and will see how it really acts in its intended environment...
Summary: Maybe it's because I'm not that tech savvy, but every time I attempted to use this GPS, it would turn itself off in the middle of my trip. I tried using it while walking and driving, but was not successful in having it complete a trip. So I gave up trying to use it.
