Summary: Great hiking GPS. I've taken this camping twice now and never failed me. First time it wasn't needed as much as the second. On the second trip i was in THICK flat brush which made it difficult to navigate without. I was able to mark my truck, the campsite, and water source With two markers remaining. Works well in pouring rain night or day. Battery life is awesome! Used it almost all day for four days and still had a full charge.
Summary: I don't do well with multifunction buttons but otherwise very good. Meters or feet are screen selectable and only after much screwing around did I discover it switches to miles on its own if you selected feet. Sure made setup a bitch!

Summary: Same as many other reviewers: 90+ degrees off (or more - go figure) compared with a compass. You might as well use your phone. Even without a downloaded map, you can usually still add some "points of interest" to a blank map in most smartphones and then follow the general direction with GPS data coming into your phone (doesn't need any internet connection). Thank goodness I tried it in a known environment.
Summary: This product was recommended by a friend for my husband and he was thrilled when we got it. It's great for finding your way back or from a specific start point. Having three settings makes it even better because they can set a point, go a ways, set another point and return to whichever place they want. Glad they got it. Now they can't get lost for sure.
