"Regular Price" inflated

Joseph H., Newegg
27 November 2009
  • Summary: This is a great GPS, but par for the course for it's price. TomTom and Garmin have comparable models (some much better, some much worse) for the same price plus or minus $10. This is important because a high list price often makes one think other manufacturers are selling their comparable models for...
  • Pros: Feature rich for it's price, and the bluetooth capability is nice and worked well with my HTC Touch Pro. However, if you don't think you will use the bluetooth, other manufactures make comparable models with a few different features. So, shop for the features you want first by creating a checklis...
  • Cons: None, other than wishing it had more features that it shouldn't have for it's price. Alpine is a good name brand though. And enough features to satisfy you for what youpay for.

Alden K., Newegg

  • Cons: The Music player is really the down point on this unit. When using the GPS and music player at the same time, the tracks will sputter a bit when changing menus, making selections, or when driving commands are issued. The file system leaves much to desire..no album art or anything as it is a prett...

  • Summary: i 've had three nuvi two for my cars and one for my rv. each one of them takes an exorbitant time to hook up with sattelites; that's why i just bought the low end of the alpine line. my wife's built-in alpine hooks up immediateley.

Okay

Saycie, Amazon

  • Summary: This works in a pinch, but I've had some issues with it. It doesn't always give me enough time to make my turns and it sometimes tells me to turn on a street that isn't there or at a dead end. But, I am glad to have it; it does help.
