Summary: When I bought this I had researched and it was supposedly the top rated at the time. Something happened internally and it would not even boot up. Only used a few times and was less then a year old when it failed. I should have purchased a Garmin.

Summary: This works in a pinch, but I've had some issues with it. It doesn't always give me enough time to make my turns and it sometimes tells me to turn on a street that isn't there or at a dead end. But, I am glad to have it; it does help.

Summary: ALPINE is a name thats been around for 3+ decades and has consistently lead the pack in the mobile electronics forest. Initially releasing the BlackBird B100 and B200 which had mixed to low reviews, many being the accuracy of the device itself. As well as lengthily TTF(time to fix) and long boot times. The day I received the PND K3msn it was densely overcast and snowing heavily. Upon plugging in and powering up,it took less than a minute to gather a fix on my position.
Summary: The reception of GPS signals are average , But at this price it has an Excellnt screen display ( better resulution than the equivalent GPS of Garmin and Magellan ) and a Very nice bluetooth ( Easy to set up and pair with your cellphone, better than Magellan , Garmin and Tomtom in this functioin ) .
Summary: i 've had three nuvi two for my cars and one for my rv. each one of them takes an exorbitant time to hook up with sattelites; that's why i just bought the low end of the alpine line. my wife's built-in alpine hooks up immediateley. I don't want another nuvi ALTHOUGH it did have just about everything i could want. but it was too quiet. now i'm waiting for the alpine. the drawback here is that it does not have a homecharger.
