Summary: This is a pretty good system. I'm writing mostly to note that almost all the objections you'll see in other reviews have since been addressed in firmware updates. You can connect an iPhone 5, 6, whatever, USB, watch DVD or digital videos, etc.
Overpriced for functions that cost only a fraction of it.

Summary: 1. iPhone connector does not support iPhone 5. 2. USB and SD card does not support video playback, only audio Other useful features is the bluetooth connection and GPS. But for these two function, this head unit is way, way overpriced.
Summary: Well I bought it because of the size and that is all. I knew the Alpine name since I was a kid and it was known for the best brand in this business..etc I have a 2013 Suburban so I bought the Perfect kit ($400) and it looks great.
Maps cannot be updated and they are 3 years old!!!!!

Summary: bought and installed a few weeks ago. Called Alpine tech support because i noticed the maps were out of date.... they told me that the U S model HAS NO MAP UPDATE!!!! What a useless piece of Junk! i uninstalled and got a Kenwood that has maps that can be updated regularly.
Summary: Well first off let me begin by saying that when I decided to upgrade my rapidly aging and outdated Pioneer AVH 4300DVD, an Alpine HU was the farthest thing from my mind. Not to mention the 1,400.00 price tag.
