Summary: The reason I bought it for the Brand Name and I been loving the Alpine brand. Alpine Blackbird PMD-B100 GPS works Great, Easy to use, I like display, and the flush button. Over all is Five Stars for me.
Summary: I own two of these. I have them mounted in both of my cars that have a double din Media Head unite. They work great. I rate then 9 out of a possible 10. Just because the battery only dtays charged for a few days when turned off... Other than that. This is a great product...
Summary: This Alpine GPS is a great little device; the map is clear and directions are easy to follow. The MP3 player works great through the radio, and the music pauses while you get directions. I don't go anywhere without it!
Summary: It's great that my GPS can dock into my alpine deck. Only problem i had with this was the way it works with the bluetooth module. still having some problems with it. but otherwise it works great!
Summary: The Alpine PMD-B100 Car GPS Receiver works great. Ideal portability and easy to use touch screen menus. The added SD card Media player lets you enjoy the Media Player. If you need a GPS contained system for your vehicle or for recreational purposes, I recommend this product.
Summary: The BLACKBIRD is an adequate GPS system. I'm looking forward to more system upgrades with the software. I think it could use a little more and LOTS MORE for the maps. This is my second GPS ...I had a GARMIN STREETPILOT III...This BLACKBIRD performs better than that did. There was too much software upgrades with GARMIN and nothing was free. It does act up and freezes, but I can work with it by re-booting it from time to time. It helps me go from point A to point B!!
Summary: This has got to be hands down the worst GPS ever. I got it based on the fact that Alpine made the one I had in my Honda Accord. Was that a mistake or what. Although they share some similar features, they are far apart. Sometimes I would have to shutdown and restart just to get a signal to it. Stay away from this unit. They have a version 2 coming out. Hopefully they have learned from their mistakes.
