Summary: I use the Nokia LD-3W GPS Module with my Mobile Nokia E-61. Once a I've download de maps from de site of Nokia, it has begun to work fast. For me, it is very usefull becouse I live in São Paulo, the biggest city os Soth America.
Summary: THIS IS A VERY GOOD GPS DEVICE, I LIVE IN GUADALAJARA MEXICO, AND I USE IT WITH MY NOKIA N81, WORKS PERFECT, IT CONNECTS IN 5 SEC. AND IT TAKES ME EVERYWERE IN THE CITY, WORKS GREAT WITH MY NOKIA MAPS SOFTWARE, I RECOMEND IT, GET IT FROM AMAZON!!
Summary: I got this for Christmas 2007 from my fiancee and it is just wonderful. It more than doubled the usage I get from my Nokia N800. No, there's no software, but I didn't need it with all of the open source options (gpsdrive, maemo mapper, etc.). The SiRFstar III chip is a must. It's very fast and it can get a fix from almost anywhere. I usually keep it in my glove box, console, or coat pocket, and it even works when it is inside the house.
Outstanding device... without the recommended software.

Summary: Pros: A really outstanding device. Works better, in most cases, than my Garmen Vista C. When paired with Amaze GPS software (this software is free and works with most mobile phones) it works flawlessly. The battery life is superb. Cons: The software that is/isn't included is a trial download (Wayfinder around $20 for the full version). After spending hours trying to download it, I gave up. Go for the free Amaze software.
Summary: I bought a LD-3w to replace my LD-1W for 2 reasons: The LD-3w is a SIRFIII GPS, and the LD-1W is not. The second reason was the rubber gasket on the bottom of my LD-1W-the one that keeps the GPS from sliding around your dashboard-was coming loose. I wanted a SIRF III to see if the performance of the GPS would be better.
