The Titleist Scotty Cameron Newport Detour is one of four putters available in Titleist’s Scotty Cameron line that combines the advanced Detour design and weighting features with the highly popular Newport style frame. The arched design encourages players to swing the putter on the proper path for better ball performance. The club features orange highlights, including an Accident Orange Studio Design grip and Accident Orange headcover.

The Titleist Scotty Cameron Newport Detour features a putter head which is made of a 303 stainless steel frame, 303 stainless steel backweight, plus T-6 6061 Aircraft aluminium face and body. The backweight pushes the center of gravity (CG) to the back for increased stability, and a dampening ring around the weight provides a superior sound and feel. Its aluminium sight curve which also doubles as the putter’s face that are bolted to a stainless steel body shaped in the classic Newport style. With a little more weight in the toe and heel, the Newport Detours, unlike the original Detour, lack a toe weight, but retain the round 20 gram steel weight in the bottom, back portion of the sight curve for added stability and increased MOI. The entire Detour line features an orange theme that carries into the ink fill on the Newport Detour stampings, with "SCOTTY" and "CAMERON" stamped on the back of the putter and "Scotty Cameron Design" and "Newport 2.5 Detour" stamped on the bottom in grey and orange. Even the grip is "Detour orange" and really stands out in a crowd. The Newport Detour 2 is available in 33 inch (350g, C6-C8), 34 inch (340g, D0-D2), and 35 inch (330g, D4-D6) versions for right handed player and 35 inch for left handed player. A custom-order 34 inch length is also available for left handed player. The Newport Detour 2.5 is available for right handed player only in 34 inch (340g, D0-D2) and 35 inch (330g, D4-D6) lengths with a custom option for a 33 inch (350g, C6-C8) version. Both have a 4° loft and 71° lie, plus also available with custom-order Red Baby T or Red or Black Studio Design grips. Loft usually is measured in degrees, of the angle at which the face of the club lies relative to a perfectly vertical face. Technically, iron loft and wood loft are measured slightly different, but the effective result is the same. Loft gives you an idea of how far and how high the ball will go. The Newport 2 has a full shaft offset and plumbing neck while the 2.5 has a 1/2 shaft offset and flare neck.
