Summary: Originally I bought the studio select newport because the shop didn't have the newport 2. I didn't know that the newport did not have the guide groove. Strangely, I was putting much better and my distance control improved immensely. Before the tournament I decided to switch the putter to newport 2 b/c I thought the guide line on the newport 2 would improve my game even further. What a huge mistake that was.
Summary: What a beauty! Very pleasing to the eye at set-up and very well-balanced. Like all Cameron putters, this is a great feeling putter. No welds from hosel to head so the feel is incredible. I know it's tough to spend the money for a putter, but look at it this way- it's your most important club. You use it on nearly every hole. In comparison, I have many sets of irons, and the best are similar. A Cameron putter has no equal. They really stand out.
Summary: Of all the many, many and expensive putters I have had, this is by far the best. The milled carbon steel gives it a wonderful feel, balance is superb, and the one dot alignment actually works better for me than other forms. I have putted significantly better (after about 30 rounds) with this Scotty probably because it gives me a sense of confidence, especially for distance control.
Summary: Owning a Scotty seemed like a big jump for someone who putts poorly (regular 3-putts). Anyway, long story short, I like the feel of the putter on course after using a fren's scotty and decided to get one myself. Got this beauty from eBay, brand new at a good price. Although 35 inches may be a tad too long for a mid-sized Asian, for some strange reasons, my putting stroke felt smooth and my lag putting improved. Bottom line is that it improved my putting.
Summary: Never before have I bought a club and it has made a difference so quickly, I was shooting high 90's until the very day I got this, I only three putted once and the rest were 2 or better, my score came right down.....the old saying putt for doh.....too true and this putter will help you collect your 2 quid at the end. Lots of feel, my old putter was just that bit to heavy causing me to overshoot a lot of the time. this feels perfectly weighted if you tend to overshoot.
Summary: excellant putter by far the best scotty out there. brill look and quality finish. lots of roll , great wieght and good alignment makes putting simple! although it has a hefty price tag its worth every penny ,it helped to take 10 shots off my game amust buy for any golfer!
Summary: A very well balanced putter and great looks also. Mine came with the leather grip which I didn't like, I am used to rubber I guess. Taking care of this putter might be a problem for some, due to the oil can type finish. It needs to be kept dry and wiped after each round with the provided silicone cloth. The length and loft seem to get the ball rolling smoothly right off the face. This is my first SC putter and I am very happy with my choice. Expensive but worth it IMO.
