Excerpt: I'm a 13 HC. Describe my game as either hot or cold. Bought the AP1 712 with the steel Dynalite Gold XP shaft with standard lie and shaft lengths. Have played with them probably 10 times. First, aesthetically they are great improvement over the AP1 710's. I was playing with the Ping I15 and wanted something just a bit more forgiving but still with some workability. I15's are a great club but when my game was off they were a bit harder to control especially 4 and 5 irons.
Great product for the price, but not designed for everyone

Summary: So far my experience has been good with these irons. I am a 15 handicap and an above average ball striker. Definitely game improvement irons geared towards the 8-16 handicapper. A little clunky looking but they have good feel. Mishits are not entirely dampened so you can still feel the mistake shots, which is very important for improving golfers. Forgiveness is very good, as even the shots off the toe or heel seem to retain good distance.
Summary: I love these AP1 Irons, they look great, feel strong at impact on the ball and such a forgiving iron when you mis-hit the ball. The stiff flex shaft just fits my swing for consistancy. I don't think I could find a golf club that would be better for me on my budget. I am just really happy with them.
Summary: good golf clubs fair price wanted to try high launch shafts but did not want to spend a lot of money for a test. found the clubs i wanted to test on ebay at a good price and tested them without spending a lot of money.
