Summary: Excellent club. Very dependent on shaft choice though. I bought two versions of this driver, identical except for the stiff vs. x-stiff in the Aldila Voodoo. Although the stiff was a fine driver, any time I sped up a little, it got lost left. The x-stiff, however, is great. Reminds me of the 905R, which I really liked in a stiff Titleist speeder. Because of the bore thru head design of the 905R, any driver you hit after it will feel loose.
Summary: After buying and trying several other brands of driver, I bit the bullet and decided I would give it one last try, so I searched for a driver that I thought would be suitable. I came across a Titleist driver which I bought, basically, as a last resort. On receipt of said driver, as soon as I held it in my hands it just felt more comfortable than my others - the grip felt good, the head looked good and sat perfectly on the ground and the shaft length was perfect for...
Summary: This driver is spectacular. Super long and straight shots!!! you cannot ask anything else from a driver. Easy to work the ball but still have good distance on affcenter hits. I placed an Oban Devotion shaft in order to have a low penetrating ballflight with minimum spin. I get a lot of roll out of it. This is definitely one of the best drivers out there and is great product for the price. I would recommend this driver to anyone that wants a players driver.
Summary: I've tried about every driver on the market. I purchased the Taylor Made R-9 this past year and even though you have a mulitiude of ways to change the settings, such as loft, lie and angle, It never did feel like I had a good solid driver in my hands. I played with Titleist 909D2 Driver in Maui during a convention this past February and I loved it. I tend to draw the ball and just a slight adjustment when you lay the club down makes a world of difference.
Summary: great feel off the face, definitely a more piercing trajectory than my r7 superquad tp. Very workable as well. I feel like I can do anything with this driver when I'm swinging well. I bought it to try out the diamana shaft but am sticking with the whole club now.
Summary: I have always enjoyed hitting Titleist Drivers and Fairway metals. I just couldn't miss hitting the center of the face of this particular club. Very easy to hit club. What fun! I highly recommend the Titleist 909 D2 Driver!
Summary: Lovely club. Got properly fitted at the Titleist academy in Carton House. Henry is a lovely guy, well worth a visit. Carrying the ball 240 yds plus 15 yds of run( in cold boggy Ireland). Ok for a senior citizen. New shaft is excellent for keeping me straight with a very slight draw. However horror of horrors after two months the weights came loose in the head and it has had to be sent back to Titleist. Now here is the question.
Summary: This is a great driver and ranks highest in my book. Being left handed its hard to just pick on of the major name brands off the shelf for a good price. Very Clean looking and the sound at impact is very professional. Easy to control and I can actually shape a shot; fade or draw much easier since its not the size of godzilla. I only gained yardage because I changed the loft when I bought this one.
