Great club for the money
22 October 2011
Summary: The club works nice but it seems to have stress marks coming from the grooves. I hope I bought a new one, cause if that's the case I would definitaly want my money back. Haven't played a round with it just went to the range to check it out. The R9 supertri is a good club launches the ball fast with decent control.
Summary: I can hit it further and lower when it is hit right compared to R9 driver. Have not played a lot with it yet because it is winter but as spring comes will play a lot more. the 9.5 degree face is better for me than the 10.5 deg R7 that goes too high especially into the wind.
Summary: I had never user R9(tried R7 and loved it) 1st time to use R9 superdeep and I had problems with heavy shaft. if you are less weight than 75Kg, then just buy a head and install a light shaft. I love his R9 head but shaft is too heavy.
Summary: The main reason I wanted to have this r9 supertri driver is to increase my driving distance. I am a old small man 5 foot 5 inches and less than 100 lbs. I usually extend all my driver shaft 1 more inch to increase distance. This r9 Supertri is slightly heavier dead than Adams A3OS XTD driver, but solid hitting sound. The driving distance is not yet attainable as I tried only 9 hole once with this r9 Supertri.
Summary: I've hit some unbelievable long drives 3oo yards, but, on occasion I thought I hit it solid but it didn't carry as far. I believe the extra lines or small groves in the middle of the face imparts too much spin and consequently reduces carry. If played more forward of your stance and teed slightly higher and struck just on the upswing, the ball carries, but, this is a lower percent shot. Definitely hit more fairways though with this driver.

Conclusion: Great Tech. This club has A LOT going for it. I am an average player, although, I do know my ball flight like the back of my hand and this club hits the ball HIGH like a Driver/Wedge. Don"t get me wrong, it hits the ball far and is very forgiving but very often I would walk up to find my ball sitting next to or close to its ball mark in the fairway. Playing in a windy area? leave this at home, its going nowhere.
Like to BOMB your diver or just add some getty up to you ball speed then this is the club for you

Conclusion: Great Feel Of the Face, What ever ball you play gives great feed back on off center hits and great feeling when hit in the middle of the face and Im loving the look on my buddys face when i hit it by him 25 yards by him all day , im by him most of the time but not by that much it was nice , Looks like a starship and flys like one
Conclusion: I've had this driver for about 6 months now. This is one of the best drivers I've ever had. I think it looks great and is more forgiving than the R9 TP I had before this one. All the adjustability is also great and can provide any player the correct specs for their swing. The only think I'm not super excited about is the distance. I've had other drivers that I hit farther but this one is by far the most accurate for me.
