Nice driver but not the best from Taylor Made.
5 January 2012
Summary: I was looking to upgrade from my old Taylor Made R7 460 driver and purchased this R9 used from E-bay. I got a great looking club at a good price. The club and shaft (Fubuki TP 60g) look great and is fully adjustable with the FCT wrench. I just didn't see much improvement in my distance or consistancy with this driver over my R7. Acutually, the R9 SuperTri felt alittle hollow/tinny (not solid) compared to the R7 at impact.
Summary: The new R9 supertri TP is an over priced piece of junk, even with the upgraded vodoo shaft the R9 consistantly got out driven by the R7 superquad, my old FT3 by callaway gave me 30-50 yards farther, My advice keep your old driver and invest in some new wedges.
Having trouble getting the ball in the AIR? Here is your answer

Conclusion: Great Tech. This club has A LOT going for it. I am an average player, although, I do know my ball flight like the back of my hand and this club hits the ball HIGH like a Driver/Wedge. Don"t get me wrong, it hits the ball far and is very forgiving but very often I would walk up to find my ball sitting next to or close to its ball mark in the fairway. Playing in a windy area? leave this at home, its going nowhere.
