Summary: One of the best drivers I've ever played. I demoed the RBZ, Burner 2.0, Nike VRS and AMP this year and the R9 still stands head and shoulders above them. With 3 of the 4 I demoed I noticed an increase in distance but a complete loss of control. This club is easy to swing, the head doesn't look too much like a spaceship. The stock shaft was decent but I ended up putting an Aldila MOI and love it even more.
Summary: Bought this driver used like new after hitting an r7 460 for a couple of years. This thing hits straight as an arrow. Fits my natural swing perfectly. It came with a matrix ozik code 7 shaft. Played in the same conditions last week. This driver was giving me 20 yds. more. Can't wait for some nice warm weather. 290-300 should be easy. Awesome driver.
Summary: Using my driver creates a lot of anxiety for me. When I stand on the T-box and all of my friends are watching I just swing away and pray for a good shot. Unfortunately the majority of my shots are slices and they are either out of bounds or in the woods. Regardless it is not fun starting the hole on your "third shot". Ofcourse I have had lessons and I go to the range to practice twice a week but my current driver will still "betray me".
Summary: I heard great things about the club when I was looking at buying the club. I was curious to how it would help my swing becuase I would have a slight slice in my drive at the beginning of my golf season. I was looking at a way to correct that quickly as possible. With this club I did not have to hit several dozen golf balls on the driving range to get my kinks ironed out. I simply made an adjustment of the club head position, which only takes about 30 seconds.
Summary: ....and I've put the R7 back in the bag, WHICH TELLS YOU SOMETHING......I think the R9 is too heavy, gimmicky, and just not as good as the R7 for me at a least.....I never liked Aldila shafts and still DON'T....give me the Fujikura shaft anyday....a friend hit it and feels the same way....he plays the R5, still. I just think these companies need to continually tinker and crank out stuff to achieve their margins....now it's the R11.....
Summary: I Up graded from my taylormade burner tour. Which I liked and hit it quite well. However Iam hitting the r-9 even better and I like the settings of N L and right settings . plus the club I bought has the up graded fuiikura 360 shaft. Iam hitting it longer and with a fade.
