Summary: Having tried several Scotty Cameron Putters, I came to the conclusion that they were 'over-engineered', heavy and often clumsy designs. (Yes, seriously) The power of marketing sells them more than the look, feel and touch they bring to the table. I swore I would never waste my time with another one until I tried the Pro Platinum Laguna Slant Neck, FINALLY a 320g putter with simple lines. It's in the bag for good. Rare beast on Ebay, make sure you give one a go.
Summary: Here it is straight up!!!! I have worked in the industry and caddied at tour level and trust me hit everything out there. Have never driven like I used to back in 1998-2004. Until today...at $15 off eBay thought yeah let's go back to 400cc and a quality setup.BOOM!!! I was actually laughing to myself on the range, even the staff were like..what the hell are you swinging??
Summary: Definitely not a beginners driver. It is not forgiving. Miss hits at toe or heel will definitely punish you. It is a bomb when you hit the sweet spot and will send your ball very long. It is easy to fade your shots by slicing it. To draw your shots is easy too by hitting "inside-out". Moving the weights will find your best drive. It is a all-in-one driver without damaging your pocket. I switched to Callaway Razr Fit to hit my shots straight and long.
Summary: I've been playing a 9.5 and 10.5 since they came out. I've reduced the weight with lighter weights and 45 gram Graffaloy Prolaunch shafts to try to increase distance with limited success. Rearranging weight for directional/trajectory control seems to make no difference whatsoever. It seems like the power is all in the top part of the face. When I hit it off the bottom it feels like dead solid perfect but goes on a low line to nowhere.
Summary: one of my favorites of the Taylormade line. I've had the club in the past but sold it and should not have. I now have a R7-425TP; R7-SuperQuad; R9-Super-tri-TP; Currently looking at the new R1 for 2013.
WELL DONE TAYLORMADE, SUPERQUAD, BEST DRIVER CLUB EVER
1 November 2012
Summary: This has to be without doubt one of the best and easiest Drivers to use that TaylorMade has ever produced. The feel and balance is excellent, it gives accuracy as well as great distance with the bonus of weight change through the four weight ports etc. It allows for a varity of positions which can cater for many golfers as we all have unique styles. WELL DONE TAYLORMADE..
Summary: THe R7 SuperQuad is one of the Best constructed golf heads ever made. The ability to adjust the weight on the bottom of the Club is great and if only I was a better golfer, I'd know what to do with them!
Summary: This has to be the best driver I have ever hit. Been hitting the new taylormade superfast but no comparison to this. Club has much more control and distance. Don't know why they changed their technology. None of the new Driver's for 2011 or 2012 compare to this model. I have tried new adams speedline, new ping and new titleist model drivers. They are somewhat similar in distance but nowhere near in control area. When you are driving the ball accuracy is everything.
