Summary: Overall, I've been very pleased with this club, but have yet to get out and go a full round with it. I've hit about a hundred balls with it so far at the range and it's very comfortable off the mat and off the FairwayPro divot simulator. Can't wait to hit it off the grass. Maybe this weekend!
Pros: I love the feel of hybrids and I love how I can address the ball pretty much like an iron, and get the extra distance and solid contact regardless of the type of lie I'm stuck with. The shaft has a nice kick to it, and fits my swing very well. Over the years I've really slowed my swing down, in an effort to make better shots, so the added flex really helps me get the ball down there when I'm not taking a full or extended swing. The grip is comfortable on this club, an...
Cons: There's really nothing to not like at this moment. We'll check back in later when we have an update after playing this club for a while.
Summary: I've always had a nasty slice on occasion, but anyone that knows a little bit about the mechanics of a golf swing knows not any one club is just going to correct a slice. I figured I'd give this club a try to see if it lessened the slice when my swing goes south, well, it didn't. I even got less distance off my drives that I sliced. It was not as long off the tee as my MacGregor MacTec NVG2 either. No club is going to magically fix your swing.
Summary: The R7 Draw irons are ok nothing special and, I have played every major brand. They are a little shorter in distance than many others I've hit and would not compare them to a super game improvement club.
Summary: I have mixed feelings about these clubs. I got the last march for $200, a great price. When I first got them, they were a huge improvement over my rac os's. I hit them 10 yards farther and a bit straighter. My focus was just on hitting a straight shot, instead of working the ball. Since, my handicap has dropped from a 22 to a 13 and the shafts have become too light. Even more than other clubs, the wrong flex effects the ball fight drastically.
Summary: This purchase seemed like a good deal and prompted me to buy a second set of higher quality. After reading other reviews of people getting fake clubs I called the TaylorMade 800 number to see if the serial numbers on the sets were in their system. They were not. The sellers response was a weak excuse that whoever they got them from for resale failed to send the serial number to TaylorMade. They offered to take them back for an exchange and not a refund.I requested the...
Summary: These are nice clubs except that the weight is very unevenly distributed. All the weight is in the head similar to children's clubs. Also the shafts are a little longer than normal, but once you get used to them you'll love 'um.
