Summary: I bought this club because it was the latest and greatest driver from Taylormade and they have really good clubs. I did not try this club with the shaft that came in it and that is where I went wrong. I could not flex the club and therefore not hit it over 190 to 220 yards. My current driver I hit between 230 and 260 yards. I sold this club and again use my old driver and will demo Taylormade's new products.
The TaylorMade Burner Superfast is made for the "average" golfer, Only!
9 June 2011
Summary: If you are an avid golfer that has been playing with a "standard" driver, with a club face that is slightly open - this club IS NOT for you. This club comes standard with a 48g shaft (too wimpy for a fast club swing) and a club face that is slightly closed at address. It was designed to help golfers with slower golf swings get the club faced closed at impact.
Conclusion: I finally upgraded from an old Titleist 975D. I was averaging about 280 with my old driver, with the occasional 300+ yarder. It flew straight and true on all but my worst days. I thought I was giving up yardage to all these new oversized models, so I made the switch. Overall, this club provides little more yardage and created a nasty slice on my less than perfect swings. When I do connect on the button, I get a consistent straight ball flight with good yardage.
Summary: This driver hits the ball LOW. Recommended for players that strike the ball consistently above the centerline of the face of the clubhead. Not for beginners or inconsistent ball strikers. The face is square to open at address and the ball flight is too low for me. The 09 burner with 49 re-ax shaft hits the ball with much greater height and is a much better club for the average golfer. I have both and greatly prefer the 09 burner to the 09 burner tp.
Summary: This club is an average driver. I think you could get the same quality at a department store. The stock shaft says that it is stiff, but it's not very stiff at all. I have a very fast swing speed and it doesn't work for me. Taylormade has good, quality products, but this one is below their bar. Just my opinion.
Summary: I bought the superfast driver to gain more yardage. I like the looks of the club. I dislike the way the club performs. I was much happioer with the original burner 2007 model, it keeps the ball much straighter. I tend to slice the ball with the suoperfast. As for the yardage , I can't hit it straight enough to tell if it is going further.Bigger and newer are not always better. I have gone back to the original burner and I am back in the fairways again.
Summary: Why you bought it: Like the other Taylormade drivers I have had and all my buddies were getting the Superfast, so I put what I thought was a low bid & won it. What you like most about it: the look & light feel. What you dislike about it: Shaft to stiff and did not get the distance of my current driver a Callaway Hyper X Tour. Whether or not you would buy the product again: Possibly with a Regular or Senior shaft.
Summary: I am a double bogey guy who loves to play. I was using a garage sale special before I purchased this club at Dicks. After hitting about 5 different clubs in the booth they have i settled on this one. I made 2 mistakes that day. one was buying this club and another was trusting the computer to tell me the trajectory of the ball. I a sure this club is great for the right person but I cannot keep it on the fairway. I slice it on every drive at times 20 yards out of bounds.
Summary: i bought a Taylor Made 460 Draw Driver to help me with my slice off the tee two weeks ago. i've used it a few times and having a hard time using it. i'm still sliceing the ball,(although my swing has more to do with it than the club) it feels akward with its hugh club head and strange shape. i'm going to keep on trying it because i think in the long run it will help me.
