If your looking to upgrade be sure to try this Driver, Ping is King!!!!!!
9 August 2014
Summary: Not the newest from Ping but long and forgiving. This thing is a fairway finder. If you swing hard at all you want the tour shaft. A great buy for the prices. I am only a 13 handicapper but this club has made my golf a lot more fun. Check out the reviews on line from the companies you trust. I bought the club after reading the reviews. I tried the Taylor Slider, Cobra Bio Cell, Callaway X Hot and this one was the best for me.
Summary: Very easy to hit and fairly long distance-wise. Typical shot is high and straight. Not the best club for working the ball right or left or for hitting different trajectories. But it's a very consistent fairway finder. Good sound too.
Summary: I've spent about 20 years looking for the perfect driver (one that would go long and straight most of the time) and I've finally found it! Most drivers I've used over the years have been about 10.5 degree and most of them seemed (to me) to have a slightly closed face - this told my brain I was gonna hit it left and anything could happen after that... I recently bought a G20 12 degree with a regular shaft.
Excerpt: I recently visited the Orlando GS Store and was hooked up with Master Club Fitter, Ron. If you have a chance to visit this store, ask for Ron. He started off letting me warm-up a little and then fixed a few things with my swing before trying to figure out what club suited me the best. I tried a few drivers and he suggested the Ping G20 with the stiff Tour shaft. This club feels GREAT and is VERY FORGIVING.
Summary: The price was right for a nice new looking old club...hardly used w/head cover. I normally use a stiff shaft w/8 degree loft but have gotten older with less power and a slower swing speed. So, this 9.5 regular flex works pretty good. The problem is the ball flight is very high and the Ping G20 regular flex doesn't come in 8.5 degree loft w/reg flex. But, alls good cause it's pretty straight.
Summary: My search is over. I have been at a total loss trying to find THE driver, and I have tried them all. I love the G20. It is long, it is straight, and it is consistent. You really have to put a bad swing on it to find yourself in trouble with this club, and yet, it is not overly correcting either. It just wants to go straight and long. I tried it up against the G25 and could not justify the extra $200 for 0.5* of adjustability.
Summary: Fabulous quality piece of golf equipment! I use the 10.5 in a REG FLEX....and have gotten some of the longest drives of my golfing life. I choke down on the shaft some times and get even more control & not much of any loss of distance.
Excerpt: The G20 driver is easier to line up than the K15 and the G10 (my previous clubs). I am more consistent using the G20. It has great distance and is a little heavier than the K15, I think. I am a using a senior club unmodified and I love the club. I bought it when I was looking at the G25.
