Excerpt: I recently visited the Orlando GS Store and was hooked up with Master Club Fitter, Ron. If you have a chance to visit this store, ask for Ron. He started off letting me warm-up a little and then fixed a few things with my swing before trying to figure out what club suited me the best. I tried a few drivers and he suggested the Ping G20 with the stiff Tour shaft. This club feels GREAT and is VERY FORGIVING.
Summary: The price was right for a nice new looking old club...hardly used w/head cover. I normally use a stiff shaft w/8 degree loft but have gotten older with less power and a slower swing speed. So, this 9.5 regular flex works pretty good. The problem is the ball flight is very high and the Ping G20 regular flex doesn't come in 8.5 degree loft w/reg flex. But, alls good cause it's pretty straight.
Summary: My search is over. I have been at a total loss trying to find THE driver, and I have tried them all. I love the G20. It is long, it is straight, and it is consistent. You really have to put a bad swing on it to find yourself in trouble with this club, and yet, it is not overly correcting either. It just wants to go straight and long. I tried it up against the G25 and could not justify the extra $200 for 0.5* of adjustability.
Summary: Fabulous quality piece of golf equipment! I use the 10.5 in a REG FLEX....and have gotten some of the longest drives of my golfing life. I choke down on the shaft some times and get even more control & not much of any loss of distance.
Excerpt: The G20 driver is easier to line up than the K15 and the G10 (my previous clubs). I am more consistent using the G20. It has great distance and is a little heavier than the K15, I think. I am a using a senior club unmodified and I love the club. I bought it when I was looking at the G25.
Excerpt: I got this club in early May, was hitting the Rs11. This club is so easy to hit compared to the Rs11, feels/looks good at setup. I don't know that i increased the distance (265yds) but definitely more control and better flight. I went with the 10.5 tour stiff and love the launch, nice and high. also, I can lower the flight in the wind. i let one of my partners hit it and he is now a proud owner.
Excerpt: I am a new golfer and have been looking for a club that is better for a beginner, this is the club. I tried several at the range before purchasing this club and after hitting several hundred balls found the Ping was the best fit for me. The weight, balance and head size are well suited for beginners in my opinion.
