Summary: I shoot in the upper 70s and lower 80s. I have owned over 20 sets of irons including 5 sets of various Ping irons (G and I series). The G10 irons are the best irons I have ever played and hit the ball long and high. I shot a 79 and 81 (two miseed short birdy puts)the first week I owned them. This is undoubtably the best set of irons I have ever owned.
Summary: I am a Golf Acemdemy student and have been playing the old Ping Eye 2s my whole life. Got pretty good with them, been a 70s player for a few years now. I just upgrated to the G10s and wow, immediate response. These clubs hit so pure every time. I didnt gain any distance but in the past 2 weeks ive had rounds par or better. I highly recommend them.
Summary: Just got rid of a Callaway ft-9 imix. It was a good club but i traded it square for a set of irons so I wasn't to heart broken. i went to my local golf shop and tried out a bunch of used drivers. I don't like Ping irons so I didn't expect much from the G10. I was in for a big surprise! What a nice feel to it. I could actually feel the clubheaad and shaft load up. I hit everyball with a pretty little fade that kept 'em all in line.
Conclusion: During a demo at the driving range, I tried several clubs including Callaway, Titleist, Burner, Taylormade. The ball seemed to jump off the club face like none of the other clubs. I really like the appearance. It is very simple and traditional appearing when you stand over the ball. Very forgiving too. Great club!
Summary: After reading the last review I thought I would make a comment. I am not a good golfer so my review will not apply to everyone. I am a slicer and this driver keeps me in the fairway as well as any I have tried, and that is a lot.I have giver up on learning to swing correctly so the offset driver does the job. I can still fade but the huge banana slice is pretty much gone, thank goodness. I can generally aim left center and stay in play now, same with the Cobra Speed LD.
Summary: This is an outstanding club for seniors. While this club is a 460 degree head, it looks like a smaller club when addressing the ball. I had been playing Cobra and Taylor 460's but was having trouble controlling the club in the tee box. I found that the more compact head design of the Ping G10 is easier to control than the elongated head design of the Cobra and Taylor drivers. This club is a 13.5/Draw an additional plus if you have any type of slice issue.
Conclusion: I just bought this driver the other day after trying several different models, including the TaylorMade Burner and Cleveland XLS. The most impressive point about the G10 is how straight it hit the ball. Shot after shot went straight with little movement left or right, even miss-hits. I wasn't able to that with the other drivers I tried.
Conclusion: I was able to try this club on the golf course. My husband has the 9 degree stiff shaft. I decided to try it and I loved it. I use to hit a Titleist and Taylormade and this one by far was more forgiving. Even on miss hits it still had good distance that I did not have with the other drivers. I love the look of the driver, the feel and knowing I'm going to hit the driver well every time I step on the tee box. Like buckeyebob, this driver is staying in my bag.
