Nike Sumo Driver, Good To The Last TEE!!
8 December 2013
Summary: I have always wanted one of these drivers but never wanted to pay full price, when they first came out I believe the price was around 299.00 I was still getting use to having good drives off the tee and thought having a better quality driver would make it even better. I held off for years and now have gotten even better off the tee.
Summary: Of all the drivers made in the last several years, no one in my mind is as consistent as this one. Remember 99% of us are not professionals at this game and all could use the proper lessons to shape our game. If you find one of these drivers out there, give it a shot. The whole face on this driver will launch the ball. High-low-left-right on face-will send the ball down the road if the face is square. Nothing corrects open or closed face.
Beginning golfer and the Nike SQ Sumo 5000 has improved my game drastically
11 November 2011
Summary: I just started playing golf this last summer and was originally using cheap off brand drivers, but decided to buy a used Nike SQ Sumo 5000 late in the summer. One of my friends had one, and I had used for a few drives and loved the feel. Once I bought it, I instantly noticed the difference in my drives. Compared to no brand drivers, there's just a different pop of power you can feel. Good Produc. Shout to 3ballsgolf for the good product.
The SQ 5000 delivers improved distance and accuracy at a rock bottom price.
1 October 2011
Summary: I was surprised and delighted by this purchase. I gained about 20 yards distance, and Improved my fairway driving accuracy by 25%. The SQ has a large sweet spot and 65 gram Diamana Stiff shaft which transfer more power to the ball than I have experienced with any other driver to date. It is especially responsive to a lower swing speed, which is often the case for seniors like myself. It tends to fade slightly, but is consistent.
Summary: Bought to compliment SUMO Irons, Regularly use a MIZUNO MX700 but this driver proved to be a good one as well watching other players using the SUMO. Prefer the Diamana Shaft but couldn't find one (new) in stiff flex. Happy with the club. Good choice.
Summary: I absolutely love this driver! It is the most forgiving club I've ever used. Took it to the range the day after I got it, and every ball I hit was nearly straight. No hooks or slices, and got some great distance. If you like a quiet club though, this is not for you. It sounds like an aluminum baseball bat smacking a baseball. Very nice otherwise.
Summary: nice club for the price. it does feel alien at set up and i do prefer a more traditional clubhead but as soon as i take it away for my back swing it always feels on plain. this nice light feel allows for a smooth swing and a controlled shot. i play a titleist D3 8.5% driver with a stiff shaft and half an inch cut off and this club is my back up. i also cut half an inch of the shaft.
Summary: I have an area on my property marked off just for hitting balls. I hit a couple dozen balls, i hit every ball 30 to 40 yards farther with the Sumo then with my current driver. The club is light, and the senior shaft seems to give me more club head speed.I would recommend this driver for any older golfer.
Summary: I have this driver in 10.5 degree and 16 degree lofts as well as an 11.5 degree loft. Since I rarely use a 3 wood except off the tee, I changed to the 16 degree driver for short holes or narrow holes. Unless I really have my A game cranked up or am facing a high wind situation, the 11.5 degree driver gives me a better launch angle and more distance than I can muster out of the 10.5 degree most of the time.
Summary: The club is all that I could wish for in a Driver. When striking the golf ball the club makes an unusual sound, but if struck correctly the ball carries a long way down the fairway. The appearance of the club is awsome. I have a high handicap and when I hit the driver well it makes the entire hole a lot easier. With this driver I have the confidence that I will strike the ball well off the tee and that happen from the first drive I hit with the club.
