Summary: This wedge has the quality and feel of many of the more expensive wedges on the market. I had gone to the golf demo show to test the Cleveland wedges and the new Titlest Volkey convinced that I would purchase a full set of either. But after hitting the Nicklaus Dual Slot wedges and the information provided by the rep for Nicklaus I found myself walking out with a 56* Wedge for approximately $50+ less than a comparable Cleveland.
Summary: I got these wedges for about half of the cost of a USED Titleist Vokey wedge. They set up well and put a great spin on the ball - I'm not the world's greatest golfer, but I can make the ball "hop and stop" (No, I can't make the ball spin back). I find that I have more control - I 'm getting closer to more pins - the ball seems to go a consistent distance and then stop quickly.
Summary: Wedges by Nicklaus Equipment are a very good value. You know the name, so rest assured that they are USGA conforming. The slots helps channel through grass and sand. What would make this the "gold standard," would be if the company would produce these in a forged model for a better and more consistent feel. Believe me, I trust them as they are.
Summary: Excellent wedge gets the ball up in a hurry and stops on a dime. This club is awesome around the green and out of the sand as well. It has to be one of the nicest looking wedges on the market. Best of all the ebay price . Actually bidding on an item and getting a great deal is what makes the ebay experience such a rush for us golf junkies.
