Summary: I've played many brands of irons...Mizuno's give me the best combination of feel, ball flight, and workability. I've been playing the MP 60s for 4 years, prior to that I played MP 30s. the MP 60s give me a bit higher ball flight, and are most definately easier to hit (i.e. seem to have a bigger sweet spot) than the MP 30s. I've played Callaway and Ping irons, liked both brands, but nothing I've played compares to the Mizunos.
Summary: I have been playing competitive golf since I was 8 years old and when I finally was able to buy a decent set of irons I went with the Titleist 962's and fell in love with them. After ten years of using them I decided to step up to the Mizuno MP 60's. This set brought me from a 14 handicap down to an 8 within one year. The feel is fantastic on solid shots and miss hits are playable which was huge for me. I will never buy another brand of iron again.
Summary: Mizuno could be the best iron manufacturer on the planet. Plain and simple… they get it. They know what golfers want and they deliver time and time again. The company has an iron for almost every level of golfer although their specialty seems to lie in forged irons for the more accomplished player. The MP-60 is the newest iron in this category.
Summary: TaylorMade Golf is quickly becoming a major player in the “players” market with the emergence of their TP line of equipment. The RAC Forged TP is the most recent addition to the TP iron line and offers better players a good combination of feel and playability.
