Summary: This is a great club for me! Hits long and straight. The adjustability of this driver is a helpful added feature, but I have found leaving it at zero (square) works best for me. The Mitsubishi Diamana shaft is awesome and inspires confidence for me as a mid to high handicapper.
Summary: Replaced the prior model L4V, which I had used for 3 years. L5V is a great driver, very similar to the L4V without the weird "ping" that club made when hit. 460 head & shape looks like a monster, but drives really smooth, have not used the head adjustment yet. Feels light in the hands during swing and consistent, straight hits.
Summary: I am an avid golfer and when I saw this expensive club I though, "Just make a token bid." So I did and won the club. I had no idea that this club would be as great a buy as it was. The club does not have very much wear on it and fits me to a tee...
Summary: I am a 10 handicap golfer with a swing speed over 110 mph so I needed a stff shaft with a driver head that would last. Let me also say I started golfing about 8 years ago and did not get that much playing time in the mid west. Know I live in Arizona and can play every day weather permitting. I started out using a Cobra driver regular flex 8 years and know need stiff to keep my flight as straight as possible. I have broken (cracked)3 culb heads so far.
Summary: I've got an 8.5* and it's an absolute pleasure to hit. Once you get used to the sound, you'll like it even more. If the sound really bothers you, there's a weight plug in the back that you can remove and then fill with a few ripped up cotton balls. Problem solved! If you hit it below the center of the face, it's a low launcher. If you hit it middle or just above center, it takes off, goes forever and runs with it hits the ground.
Summary: I have used the Cobra Speed LD for the last several years. It was a great club. It was forgiving and long. The Speed LD club owned alot of its success to the stock Graphite Design Tour AD shaft. The only complaint I had was when I moved to New Mexico. I needed to keep the ball low to avoid the wind. We have great golf here almost all year long but when the wind blows a high trajectory launch is not desireable. What does this have to do with the L5v.
