The best feeling driver I have ever purchased. Tremendous value!

Summary: I've hit a lot of metal drivers from a variety of manufacturers. So many of them have that tinny "plink" sound. This club not only sounds solid, but it feels as solid as any metal driver I've ever hit. That is surprising considering how light it is. I still feel mishits, but their shock is minimized quite a bit. Squarely hit shots are incredible. I have never had so much fun swinging a driver as much as I have the Cleveland Launcher XL270.
power, light swing, maybe try 10.5+ deg for accuracy

Summary: Just found out the current #2 PGA Tour player GIR stat is: 2. Joe Durant / 75.42 percent / Cleveland Launcher Ultralite XL 270 So, why would you bother listening to me? That should speak for itself. Funny, because this is the one I use the least, I may pull it out and give it another shot. I have 3 drivers now, and a 4th on the way. Of the 3 I have, this one sends it as far or farther but with more fade.
Summary: I tried this driver when it first came out and really liked it. I felt at the time that I could not afford it. But over the years the price came within my range. When I found this club on ebay I jumped at it. After playing 15-18 rounds, I believe it is perfect for me. Lighter and with the 12° club face, I am getting 10 to 20 yds more distance. It is also very forgiving with off center hits. I have also had no trouble with the longer shaft.
great price for a superbly engineered driver-miyazaki gold shaft all class

Summary: excellent superlight driver, great miyazaki c kua graphics on classic cleveland gold shaft-draw is not that pronounced only a few degrees but enough to reduce a fade-good distance and launch angle
Summary: Just picked this up on ebay for $40....a little skeptical of the 39 gram 46 inch shaft as I am a fast swinger and load quickly. However to my surprise launched nicely with little spin. Bombed it...may be the longer shaft slowed me down, but worth twice what I paid for it....i also play Cleveland mashie 3 wood and hybrids which also have lighter shafts and these all launch like champs...Cleveland is on to something.
great choice, especially with addition of longer shaft...

Summary: the XL270 is light for maximum control, but the Cleveland head design still allows for enough punch to put it out there. Because of the light weight, makes an excellent choice for the addition of one of the longer shafts.
Good look at address, feel, sound, forgiveness, distance... A winner!

Summary: Before reading this review note that the XL270 driver I purchased did NOT have the stock shaft, but had a Fubuki Alpha 50 stiff custom shaft instead. This driver was great on the range and my first round with it! Distance was good, balance was good, but how forgiving and straight it was, actually surprised me! I have had a problem slicing most drivers I try, this had a nice "baby fade" with good roll.
