Simple and easy

Riley P., Amazon
22 July 2014
  • Summary: Bought this driver on sale because I couldn't hit the weird flat wide drivers. Did not expect much more than easier control. Wht I have found is a little more consistent distance and far more ability to hit the ball straight and keep it on the fairway. Even though I'm 65 and don't have blinding swing speed, I picked the 290 gram model over the 270 because it was easier to maintain a consistent swing. The driver is not magic. It's just well built and easy to swing.

The Clevelad 290 drive is perfect for generating higher swing speed

  • Summary: This driver is extremely light with an excellent shaft. I had tried my friend's and that is why I bought it at 1/10th the price he paid and the one I received was virtually new. I had to remove the weighted grip and regrip it however.

i'm still a cleveland believer!

19 December 2013
  • Summary: i've been a user of cleveland clubs for about 10 years, so i will admit i'm probably biased...but...i bought this to replace a callaway i had for golf at our winter home. i've been to the range twice and played one round since receiving this beauty. the sweet-spot is HUGE! a hit anywhere on the clubface will get out there, but a hit 'on the screws'? OMG! with this my normal shot is arrow straight, run included 270 is easy.

Great Buy, solid high preformance driver at bargin prices.

  • Summary: A very solid performer, I use the 12 degree with the stock reg. flex shaft. Tried the 270 but prefer the control of the 290. See my 270 review for more details on that. For the money you can't beat this club. I am 70 years old and play ounce a week, this club allows me to keep up with the 50 some things. The only bad thing is the head cover, don't know what they were thinking.

best deep face driver on the market

  • Summary: Great club if you hit high on the club face. The deep face reduces spin and with the right shaft its a monster.

It' straighter and longer!

pureenergyhi, Ebay
11 August 2013
  • Summary: I work in a golf shop so I have access to all the new products as they become available. I recently tried a 290 10.5 with the extra stiff Kua shaft. Keep in mind that I'm 5'2', 135 #s and 62 years old! I normally hit my drives in the 270-280 yard range. I found that with the deeper face I hit the ball with less spin so I get more roll and less side spin so I hit it straighter! I only gained about 10 yards, but my drives are usually in the short grass or close to it!
