Summary: I still can't hit the ball in the fairway but, that may be associated with operator error. I like the club it sets up well and I like the ball flight off the face. It is not good out of deep fringe grass.
Summary: Needed a 3 wood which I typically would only hit off the tee (use a 2H for fairways which is about a 230 club for me). It came on time and in perfect condition. As with all clubs, you need to "break them in" and learn how to hit them best. I have heard Mr. Phil uses this as a driver and I can see why; it is long!
Summary: If you're new to the Deep concept, I suppose some explanation is in order first. "Deep" refers primarily to the height of the face. Traditionally, fairway woods are rather shallow (thin from top to bottom); they have a sleek, fast look that allows you to get at the ball that is sitting on the grass. Drivers, on the other hand, are deeper since the ball is sitting on the tee.
Summary: I love this club. I can't say enough about it. I used to HATE my old 3 wood. I used to use the Rocketballz 3 wood - have you seen it? It has this giant gap behind the club face, and with every swing, it would pick up dirt or mud or grass, which would then totally change the feel of the club. It was also light as a feather, so you couldn't feel anything as you swing. This 3-wood, is AWESOME.
Summary: This club was an update to my set. I do not hit the three wood very well. I used this club that a buddy of mine had and it does work well for me. It has good weight distribution and I feel that there is good transfer of energy on good hits.
Summary: Bought this for a birthday gift for my father who loves to golf. Not many clubs come in a left handed version but this one does. It is also long enough for someone who is six feet tall. Callaway makes great clubs including this Fairway Wood. The price on Overstock was the best I could find.
