  • Summary: Well these irons changed me. I went from feeling nothing in extremely large cavity backs to these at the merry handicap of 28. Most would critisise, however this was one of the best decisions i have ever made.

If you are going to make the swith from cavity back to fordged I would like to let you know that it is alot different when you play then when you hit balls on the range altohugh the feel is...

Callaway X-Forged

  • Summary: These are great clubs. While the carbon steel wasn't as soft as I expected (when you play Srixon's, everything feels buttery and almost padded it is SO SOFT when you hit the club), but it gives great feedback none the less. there is some forgiveness but I wouldn't there's a whole lot of it.

Shoots in the 70s

UncleKirk, GolfReview.com
10 December 2007
  • Summary: This is as close to a players club as Callaway currently gets. This club has greater playability than the X-Tour, the only other forged club Callaway has produced recently. The sole of the X Forged is materially narrower than that of the X Tour, which makes it much better all around, but especially...

  • Summary: I have been playing with the callaway x-forged irons with the project x 6.0 Flighted shafts for about 3 months now... I love the feel of a well struck shot leaving the face of these club.. The ball just jumps off the face and usually has a penetrating trajectory..Easy to hit..

the graphite shafts are a winner for me !

kenlup, Ebay

  • Summary: As I age, the body weakens & my old clubs with stiff steel shafts were losing me distance, so I was after a set with softer graphite shafts whilst still having the characteristics of top class irons - forged blades - as I am still a single figure golfer.

  • Conclusion: These irons look so good that they give you confidence. i used to play with old blades and wanted to upgrade. i found the transition quite easy although i had to improve my swing to get the same distance when hitting it pure.
