Summary: I have had the sticks for 4 weeks and can not get used to them , inconsistent in distance, shorter than my ping zing twos with steel shafts , i enjoy walking the flat courses and i need to take two clubs out to lighten the bag they are heavy, i will stay with them another 4 weeks if it does not get...
Summary: I had an incomplete set of Callaway X-14 Steelhead clubs and wanted to upgrade to a full set. I thought that the X-18 would be the most sensible upgrade because it was supposed to be a refinement of the same club line, right? Wrong. This club is nothing like the X-14.
Summary: I am average. 16 handicap. I shoot in 80's&90's. I got these and found them to be more correcting than previous irons I own (mizuno mx20) but shorter. I have read many great reviews, and I must admit they are pretty forgiving and look beautiful (dark navy instert, chrome, shiny etc).
Summary: These Irons have a potential to become absolute shovels. I strongly recomend purchasing these with graphite shafts. The Callaway uni-flex shafts work well with the short irons, but the long irons are a complete nightmare.
Summary: It's saddening to have to write the first negative review about these irons. I thought it was time for a change from my Cleveland TA5's and decided to give the X-18's a shot because I got a deal I couldn't pass up. Especially after reading the reviews on this site.
