Summary: Explosive face makes this a very long driver. I think it is fair to say it is one of the longer drivers that I have played. The Fit On 360 stiff shaft seems to be a very stable shaft for my 105 mph swing speed. The Tour version with a 2 degree open face definitely is an anti-left driver. I had to be very careful or my tendency was to push drives to the right. Forgiveness is average for a 460cc head.
Summary: I always wanted to try a Callaway Driver and the price was right at 89.00 for a club in open box condition. The Hyper X 10.5* has the Fujikura e360 fit on shaft regular flex,it has a low-mid trajectory and distance is what you would expect with my 95-100 mph swing speed. I hit my Integra Quadratic 10.5* with a Aldila DVS 65 regular flex shaft as comparison,it out preformed the Hyper X in trajectory with a high-mid trajectory and about 10 yards in total...
Summary: I wanted an oversized head driver and have a full set of Callaway X-14 irons. I prefer Callaway over other brands because I like the weight of the shaft and heads. This driver was comfortable, easy to swing, and has a wide sweet spot. It was what I expected. I'm learning to get use to the "ting" sound it makes at contact. I believe I may be getting about 10 - 15 yards more distance than with my old driver.
Summary: I only started playing golf 1.5 year ago. So, I am still looking for the driver that is right for me. I bought the Hyper X because that is the club I was originally fitted for. I was fitted for an 11* driver, but with a 10.5* driver, I was getting too much loft. So, when I saw the 98 Hyper X, I decided to try it to see if it would improve my driving distance. It did and that is wa\hat I like most. The only thing I do not like about the club is, it is not a fade club.
Summary: Good driver. Initially the club felt a little light. The more I have played with it I have noticed an increase in distance from my old big bertha. I was a little shocked by the big pop when you hit it. At the practice range I can tell when someone is hitting an X driver just by the sound. I'm glad I have it in my bag. Oh, I also bought a 3 & 5 X. All good clubs.
Summary: Just bought this club and i read many reviews about how it cures slices....well i wouldnt say it cured my slice but nows its just a slight fade. I still cant shape my shots very well with the club but that might be my skill level. Im about a 10-12 handicap. Doenst take much to hit this club though its weighted very well and swings smooth. I like the sound and feel on impact as well. Im hitting the club about 300-310 yds consistantly.
Summary: This is the second one of these drivers i have bought originally paid $380.00 for first one 5/6 years ago loved it. Broke shaft and could not believe i could pick up some club for $140.00 (inc poastage) I play off 9 handicap but club is well waited and would recommemend it for 7 to 24 hcappers..
Conclusion: As a follow up, I played the Hyper X for the first time at Moonah Links today. Im loving it already. Specc’d with a regular flex Fujikura Fit on shaft, and 10 degrees of loft, the Hyper X didnt take much getting used to. Definitely added distance when hit well, and off centre shots are given a lot of forgiveness! All my drives were in play, and when I did hit one of the centre, wow. The look is clean at address, and the sound says…LONG.
