Summary: I bought this driver looking for a lighter club which would hopefully product longer tee shots. I have the matching 3 and 5 wood from Callaway and hoped to achieve the same satisfaction level with the new driver. It is still too soon to tell if I like the new driver better than my TaylorMade driver so I really cannot give a good evaluation of the club at this time. It is light weight, looks good but the proof is in the performance which I have not realized yet.
Summary: I am reviewing a Callaway FT-IZ 11 degree Driver with an Aldila Voodoo Senior Shaft. First off, let me say the driver is beautifully constructed. The problem I have with it is the face is dramatically closed at address. This created immediate difficulty for me with alignment and swing direction. When I hit the ball good it produced a slight fade. This is probably due to the Senior shaft. I found the distance and ball flight to be inconsistent.
Summary: I liked the 3 Wood for this model so I decided to go with the driver. The club has great feel but my distance off the tee hasn't changed. As with golf in general you'll only strike the ball as well as your skill level. Don't beleive the hype, take your kids somewhere with the money instead.
GREAT at the beginning, but after a while go with the ft-iq

Summary: First off all, all I have to say is I was so excited to buy this club. I have been playing for 8 years and have tried every club known to man. At the beginning I was hitting close to 300yds. After about a month the club got harder and harder to keep straight and from slicing. I have NEVER had those problems with the ft-iq. In the end it turned out my club-head was defective. So I sent it back and got a new one. THE SAME THING HAPPENED.
Summary: The FT-iZ Driver is available in four lofts: 9, 10, 11, 13. The lie for every loft is 60.0. All lofts are available for right handed players but only 10 and 11 degree lofts are available for left handed players. The manufactures shaft is Aldila and their VooDoo shaft. The shaft is available in regular, light, and stiff. If you purchase the FT-iZ Driver directly from Callaway you can customize with another Aldila shaft. The club is USGA conforming.
