Summary: The Callaway FT-IQ driver is the sleekest square driver I have ever seen. Its' styling suggests faster speed, thus longer distance. However, when I tried it, I just could not strike the ball squarely and either faded or topped the ball. I play to a 13 handicap and I used the club unsuccessfully for two days. I believe that the shaft (regular) was not the correct one for me.
Summary: I would like to preface this review by stating that I have been through 11 drivers in the last 1-1/2" Yrs. So I have hit all the good stuff. I loved the FT-5 I-Mix w/ the STIfg GD YSQ but was too unpredictable. Accuracy off the tee is a must for me as I hit the ball farther than average so when I miss, it's bad. I have the model state dabove with the Fubuki 63 Stiff 5 CTW.
Summary: I bought this driver after using the same type of club while golfing with some friends. A buddy of mine was trying one out from the proshop and let me hit it a couple times. I was impressed and started looking for one. When I saw the spects on this club I watched for the end of the auction closely and then bid. The reason I wanted this one was the shaft, it alone is worth $300 and it shows in the performance!!!
Summary: I bought 2 of these, 9 and 11 degree loft. One as a component (9 degree head only) and the 11 degree was as Callaway made it. Both have regular shafts 45 inches in length. I bought them on some old favorable reviews. Both of these drivers have large sweet spots and will make a satisfying metallic ping when hit there. I am a short hitter, 160 with a 5 iron, but can get the 9 degree over 200 yards carry and roll and the 11 degree a little bit shorter than that.
Summary: I love this golf club. It is so easy to hit, excellent trajectory, great roll. Really like the overall look of the club, looks like a stealth fighter. Love the graphics on the shaft. Been looking for a new driver for about 6 months, found it for a steal on eBay! One of the best values in my golf bag!
Summary: Bought the FT-iQ about a month ago. Took a while to get used to - didn't get consistent results early (pretty routine with new clubs). Like the swing-weight, feel and sound. Never thought I'd get a square headed driver, but it looks good and need some forgiveness once in a while. Overall a great club with amazing technology for a good price.
Summary: This driver is every bits as good as the advertisement says it will be; very balanced, forgiving, long as well as awesome looking. I have played five rounds of golf with it to this point and I couldn't be happier! I have picked up roughly twenty yards on my shortest drives and as much as forty yards on my longest drives. This clubs really deliveries the goods. Thanks, Callaway!!
Summary: This is most recent generation of Callaway Square head. This was also an iMix model with interchangeable shafts. I purchased to get the Graffaloy Epic Shaft. The head was just part of the deal. Well, the FT iQ is one straight driver and solid. It is very stable and wants to fly straight. Pretty nice driver. I was impressed. Several people have hit this 9.5 Tour model head and the better players ALL hit it well. The Epic shaft is also a very good shaft.
