Callaway drivers just have a good feel and drives the ball down the fairway
14 May 2013
Summary: Wanted to try another callaway driver - This club fit my swing to a tee! A little humor there. The FT-5 Driver compares as fine as my FT-9. The head is just a little smaller, which at times is better.
The most comfortable and forgiving club I have ever hit.

Summary: Used this driver for the first time on a golf trip to Myrtle Beach. A little nervous how the first hit would look like but after the ball left the club and followed the fairway I was very pleased. The club felt extremely balanced and comfortable. I hit off the tee with a very consistent result the whole week. I highly recommend this club to anyone.
Summary: I have been looking for several weeks to find a driver I could control off the tee box and also get maximum distance. I have hit several drive over 300 and the longest has been 348 yards. So far I am very pleased.
Summary: I am enjoying the club very much. Straightens out my drives and have gained additional distance with this club. Even though a couple of years old, this club compares favorably with the current high-tech drivers on the market.
Summary: The driver looked new in photo ad however, when received it appears that the club was pieced together (rebuilt, reshafted) at the hossel where there appear to be three small cracks and adhesive stains. It feels very secure and hasn't affected play as of yet so I am trusting that all is well and that this critique of the driver is incorrect. Time will tell.
Good club that offers a higher than normal tragectory and decent forgivenes

Summary: The FT5 driver is decent. I have it with a 9* loft and it has a noticeably higher trajectory than my 2004 Big Bertha driver which is also a 9*. The fusion technology combines a titanium club face with a composite backing for a better club, but the sound at impact suffers. Instead of a loud ping sound it sounds more like a can hitting a rock. I cant complain because i didn't buy it new for $399, but i wouldn't pay more than $60 for one.
