  • Summary: I have played with the FT-5 for 3 years and enjoyed the club immensely. I used to slam the ball off of the tee for distance - now an easy swing and I swear it goes the longest. Unfortunately, my FT-5 busted within the club head after only about 20 rounds of golf. There is something loose inside, and it sounds awful when it strikes the ball. I now get 75-80% of the distance. Unbelievably, Callaway told me they would allow me to buy a new Razr for $260. I was shocked.

Club not as advertised

  • Summary: This is not a authentic callaway driver!! It's a after market club, with a bore through shaft, with a blank insert glued in half way up from the botttom, and a shaft glued in on top of it! It doesnt even hit like a authentic callaway, difference is night and day, this club vibrates real bad! the authentic FT5,does not have a bore through shaft! I bought this club for the head only! I had bought,an expensive shaft to install in it,but the shaft in this club, can't be removed!

Callaway FT-5 driver

  • Summary: My FT-5 Callaway driver, cracked on the bottom of the club head where the plastic meets the metal clubface. And was junk. But Callaway did replace it for free with their New FT-9. I've had it for a year and a half, and last week it too fell apart.Bottom of the club head where the plastic meets the club face, came unglued and was junk.I'm a 5 handicap and past club champion,so it's not the golfer abuse.Loosing faith in Callaway.

  • Summary: I have one of these for two years now. I have also played the worst golf of my life for the last two years. This club is woeful. I have changed shafts to see if I could get any better out of it but no dice. The sweet spot, if it does exist is the size of a pea and the noise it makes is so embarrasing that I cringe as I swing, which is probably half my problem. I have been fitted for a 909d2 so its hasta la vista baby. (first €50 offer secures this piece of..).

Stay Away!!!!

Grant.Sedgwick, Today's Golfer

  • Excerpt: This is by far the worst driver i have evr had!! I bought it from my local pro shop and was custom fitted, the total cost coming to £320. However after having it just 4 months the shaft had worn away and snapped. But callaway did replace the driver in a few weeks. Only for the exact same thing to happen again. Something that shouldnt happen to a £320 Driver.
